Hello there! Since you’ve clicked through to my about me page, I assume you want to get to know me a little better. So here are some random facts. And a picture of me hovering my hand over a Japanese Shisa statue while making a weird face. I’m just that cool.
My full name is Ragnar Terjeson Miljeteig. Don’t worry about how to pronounce it, I don’t get offended if you do it wrong, unlike some people. I am a Norwegian student of life by trade, and freelance writer in my free time. Did I get that the wrong way around? Anyway, lately I’ve been mostly interested in personal development, productivity, psychology, philosophy and self actualization, and I mostly write about those topics. Of course I’m also interested in copywriting and content marketing, and I am constantly focused on bettering my craft. Almost obsessed.

I’m 23 years old, at the moment still living in Bergen, Norway. I actually have a BA in Japanese, and unlike many of the graduates I am essentially fluent as well. Which makes me trilingual, because I know none of the French that I studied for 5 years.
What The Palm Tree Means
Noticed the new design? Wonder what the palm tree means? As you might have guessed, I like to travel, and I would like to do a whole lot more of it. That’s kind of why I got into freelance writing to begin with. On the 20th of March 2014, I’m going on a one way trip to Thailand, where I will stay for 2 months as the first step of a slow travelling journeyDuring my 1 year stay in Japan, I started to feel lost in life, and it only got worse after I got back home to Norway.
How The Blog Got Started
After months of being in the dumps, depressed and seeing no progress at all in my life, I decided to take the plunge and create my own blog about self improvement. (Find the orignal here: Self Improvement Viking) The writing helped me commit to the purpose of improving myself, and take responsibility for my own lot in life.
After a while I started this blog, because through taking action and finding different paths that I could choose to take in life, I realized I didn’t only want to talk about personal development anymore. And that I never really liked the name or url of my last blog.
If you’re feeling lost, scared or overwhelmed in your own life right now, I just want you to know that you’re not alone. I recommend that you take responsibility, start to improve the control you have over your own life by getting actively involved in the improving of yourself too.
